Frumpty Dumpty...and my belly at 23 weeks

These pictures are a little scary. I actually left one out. If I were a rapper, you could call me "puff mommy." I picked the least "puffy" pictures.

Speaking of puffy, Justin and I had a huge laugh the other day. I was trying to find something to wear to the Alabama football game -- actually a tailgate party (we don't go to the games...can't afford tickets) and was having a very difficult time finding a crimson shirt that didn't make me look like a red tent. I was having no luck, so in my usual way, I began trying on multiple outfits, complaining the whole time. Justin came in and saw the pile of clothes on the bed and knew something was wrong. He asked me what the problem was, and, with my most pitiful looking face, I said, "I look like Frump-ty Dumpty." There comes a point when nothing looks good (to me), no matter what I put on. As you can see from my picture, that will be the last time I wear that red dress. Whoa! The other person you see is my cute, skinny sister, Katie. Really, I am feeling good and everything is going well. It just shocks me when I see a picture of myself! Right now I am 24 weeks along...4 more months to go!

Introducing Eleanor Ashley Little. Isn't she adorable? (Yes, I am already an annoying proud parent).

My Belly -- Week 18

Here I am again, with my belly growing by the minute. I can't believe how big I am already! My doctor says everything looks great, and we are due for our ultrasound on August 28. Justin and I are so excited to know more about our baby! We will try to keep you posted as we learn more. It has been so much fun thus far! Most people are predicting a girl...but we have no clue. What do you think? Post a comment to make a prediction.

Vacation on Kiawah Island, SC

Last week Justin and I went on a little "vacation" to Kiawah Island, SC, which is near Charleston. It was actually a work trip for Justin, but ALL vacation for me :) We ate lots of good food (shrimp & grits...mmmm) and had lots of fun. We got to take a carriage ride in Charleston to look at all of the beautiful historic homes. We hope to go there again sometime and see more! On Friday I got a wonderful maternity massage at the hotel's spa. It was extra nice (and also extra expensive!). We stayed at "The Sanctuary," which is probably one of the most elegant and luxurious places we have ever stayed, [thanks to the firm]. One afternoon we relaxed by the "adult" pool -- which was for those 18 and over only. We figured that we should enjoy the peace and quiet there while we can! Next year we will have to wade in the kiddie pool. And I am sure we will enjoy every moment of it.
